You can build a compact track module including the motor. It can be easily mounted on a vehicle of your own creation. Please also see variant 1 .

The lower beams and the small ones besides the motor are spaced in "standard grid". This allows mounting beams vertically to connect to your design:

The grey thing you see in the bottom view is a 9 volts motor:
